This past week, The Idea School welcomed Hody Nemes, a Yale graduate in environmental studies and a current student at Yeshivat Chovevei Torah as a virtual guest speaker. Nemes addressed the students about climate change, using Jewish sources and explaining the effects of climate change on Israel and all parts of the globe. One of the interesting facts and slides presented was the American Jewish community’s consumption habits and what happens to emissions in Tel Aviv on Yom Kippur.
