Rabbi Dr. Aryeh Cohen, author of “Justice in the City” visited The Idea School this week as a guest speaker during the weekly Town Hall session. Rabbi Dr. Cohen addressed students about the topics of his book, whose sources the ninth and 10th graders are learning this semester. He spoke with the students about the importance of actions and deeds that stand up against injustice and the suffering of others, just as Moshe had done when he saw the suffering of the Jews in Egypt. Rabbi Dr. Cohen led a smaller group discussion afterwards about what actions they could begin to do as the new year begins.
