(Courtesy of JCC Mid-Westchester) The JCC Mid-Westchester invites families, children and adults to enjoy a “Day at the J” on Sunday, April 7, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m., at their annual open house event. There will be activities, entertainment, live music, delicious treats and surprises for all. The event is free and open to the public!
On the main stage in the Bendheim Performing Arts Center, Puppetsburg will be performing an interactive puppet show with dancing, instruments, dress up photo-ops and bubble time. After the puppet show, participants can jump into the pool for family swim time and participate in a session of family freeze dance. Kids can enjoy arts and crafts, science experiments, gymnastics, sports activities, face painting and free play in the playground.
Adults can test their knowledge while making new friends at Trivia 55+. There will be an opportunity to work on a volunteer project with Project Linus making blankets for children in need. The fitness center will be open and available to adult attendees. The NYBC will have a mobile van in the JCC parking lot for those who want to donate blood.
The Marine Education Center of Mamaroneck will be in attendance with small fish and artifacts from the Long Island Sound and Greenburgh Nature Center will have live animal encounters every twenty minutes.
The JCCMW’s annual KugelFest will showcase a variety of kugel recipes with delicious samples for the community to taste and enjoy! There will be beverages and delicious kosher food options for sale.
