The Jewish Link of New Jersey and Gotham Burger would like to recognize fourteen year old Judah Orlanski as this week’s Sportstar of the Week. The Yavneh Academy eighth grader is the starting goalie for the second place Yavneh Redhawks floor hockey team. When asked about his goalie, Coach Yaniv Besterman told The Jewish Link, “ I’ve had the privilege of coaching Judah the past three years and it amazes me how much Judah has grown as a leader and a player both on and off the court. As one of our assistant captains, Judah is a role model for all the younger players on the team and a pillar of strength, both literally and figuratively, in front of the net. Judah makes sure the team is focused before each period and constantly lifts the team with his strong play in goal. I’m hoping that Judah will continue his strong play throughout the upcoming playoffs. It has been a pleasure coaching Judah and I will miss him next year.”
