After a rocky start to the season, the Jewish Link Legends completed their fairytale turnaround with a dominant victory against the Disciples of Discipline. With the wind chill putting this showdown at 15°F the Legends started off cold offensively, but were electrified when star middle linebacker Josh Chesner had a pick-6 to close out the half, keeping the game at a low scoring 8-6 in favor of the Disciples. But out came Legends quarterback Noah Greenwald with a chip on his shoulder. With protection from the Aronoff brothers Jojo and Isaac, Greenwald spread the love throwing 3 touchdowns in the second half to receivers Josh Greenwald, Adam Duitz and Matty Reinhart. On the defensive side, the Legends lived up to the timeless adage that defense wins championships. Defensive linemen Jared Caplan and Adam Duitz forced pressure all game including a key safety to give the Legends a much needed boost late in the game. On the corners, lockdown cornerbacks Isaac Weinstock and Seth Forman held down the fort, keeping the Disciples receivers at bay for a large part of the second half. Overall, from the lows of the regular season, the Legends climbed the mountain and emerged at the top victorious. Congratulations to the Jewish Link Legends on winning the inaugural RJFL Teaneck conference!
