The 3s class at the Lauren Elise Bier Nursery School at Congregation AABJ&D in West Orange has been busy this week learning all about ice. They guessed what ice is made out of—water, guessed the differences between snow and ice, felt and saw the ice and found words to describe it slippery, cold and hard). They also did an experiment and saw if they put salt on top of the ice, it made the ice melt faster—the salt created holes! They poured food coloring on top of the ice and watched it go through the holes. To finish off their learning they painted with ice. All the children had so much fun with all of the science explorations.
