The twos, threes and pre-k classes at The Lauren Elise Bier Nursery School each created their own sukkah in their classroom. They used big cardboard boxes and each class decorated their sukkah differently. The twos created a collaborative piece of art that they used to decorate the inside of their sukkah. The threes painted their sukkah brown and created drawings to hang in the sukkah for decoration. The pre-k colored their sukkah with markers, added pine cones and pretend leaves to the top and a table inside to sit at. Each class took nature walks and collected branches that they used to create the schach for the roof of their sukkah. The children also enjoyed shaking the lulav and etrog and did it in the sukkah as well. All of the children loved creating, decorating and playing in the sukkah and also had fun using it over Chol Hamoed.
