The children of The Lauren Elise Bier Nursery School finished learning sefer Bereshit this week with parshat Vayechi. The children in the threes classes learned the song “Hamalach Hagoel Oti” and made their own mobiles to hang at home with that song on it. During the week they also had a chance to stand under a tallit as they do on Simchat Torah to get the Kol Hanearim bracha. As they stood under the tallit the children proudly sang the song. The pre-k class made a special children’s bracha project and Bereshit hats. They also learned that since we finished sefer Bereshit we say Chazak, Chazak, V’nitchazek. All the children were so proud that we finished a whole book in the Torah.
