(Courtesy of MTL) This past Sunday the West Orange middle school league (MTL) crowned a new champion, when the Mavs faced the Warriors. The Mavs started the game with an impressive 11-0 run fueled by two Aharon Rozehzadeh 3-pointers. The Mav’s Ashi Strauss and Josh Harris helped shut out the Warriors with stifling defense. The Warriors came back in the second quarter, cutting the lead to four. Josh Harris sent back the Warriors shot, then outletted the ball to Dovid Shimon Rozehzadeh for a clutch basket to close out the half with the score at 24-18. The Mavs put the game away in the second half, with Aharon Rozehzadeh leading all scorers with 34 points as the Mavs were victorious in the championship game.
