It deeply saddens me to hear fellow Jews crying out against President Trump’s proposal to encourage Gazans to emigrate, claiming it is “immoral” and “against Judaism.” This war has been devastating for Israel. We have suffered unimaginable horrors. We will not allow another round of this evil. We want a future of security, based on truth and morality, not delusions that endanger Jewish lives.
Gaza Is an Enemy Population
We keep hearing that encouraging Gazans to leave is somehow “immoral.” But let’s be honest about what’s really going on. The majority of the general Gaza population either participated in or celebrated the October 7 massacre. The vast number of videos they have broadcast make it clear: The masses who didn’t actively commit murder cheered in the streets, some hitting and spitting on the bloodied bodies of Jews like trophies.
There are no “innocent civilians” in Gaza. This is a population that has raised generations on Jew-hatred, martyrdom and jihad. A population that overwhelmingly supports the Islamic ideology of jihad and has proven it has no right to live near Israelis. And now, as a direct result of their war on Israel, their homes and cities are destroyed. If they cared about their homes, they wouldn’t have celebrated the slaughter of Jews.
Nobody Is Forcing Them to Leave
Encouraging emigration is not “ethnic cleansing.” It is not forced expulsion. It is giving Gazans a choice—a choice they were denied under Hamas rule.
For decades, Gazans have been held hostage by their own leadership, trapped in a cycle of war, terror and suffering. And guess what? Many want out! A recent poll from a Palestinian research center in Ramallah found that over 50% of Gazans want to leave. But they can’t, because Egypt keeps its border closed—even though, under international asylum law, Egypt must allow them to leave.
So let’s ask: What is truly immoral? Helping them escape a war zone, terrorist rule and misery? Or forcing them to stay in Gaza, where Hamas will continue using them as human shields and brainwashing them to kill Jews?
Israel Has No Obligation to Gaza
Israel owes nothing to the people of Gaza. There are 22 Arab-Muslim nations in the Middle East and 57 Muslim-majority countries in the world. Are we supposed to believe that not a single one of them has room for fellow Arab Muslims?
Qatar, which funds Hamas and is directly responsible for the invasion, massacre and mass raping and kidnapping of our citizens into Gaza, refuses to take in Gazans. Justice would be having Qatar take in all the Gazans. Their plight and misery is Qatar’s direct responsibility. Jordan and Egypt, which claim to support “Palestinians,” keep their borders shut.
So let’s cut through the lies: Encouraging Gazans to emigrate is the most moral, humane and practical solution. Forcing them to stay in Gaza—where Hamas will keep them as human shields—is the real crime. The silence about Egypt’s illegal blockade of Gazans is pure hypocrisy. The silence about Qatar’s direct responsibility for the plight of the Gazans is a moral blot on the Western world.
Gaza Will Be Jewish Again
The Jewish people are back in Gaza. And we will remain in Gaza forever. Just as the Chief Rabbi of Gaza City in the 16th century wrote and sang the famous Shabbat song “Ka Ribon” long before Arab Muslims migrated to Gaza, so too will we sing that song once again soon on the sands of Gaza. And the world will be a better place because of it.
The Moral Obligation to Win
All Jews who pray three times a day and hear the Torah reading three times a week in synagogue are familiar with the sentence we say as we take out the Torah from the Aron Kodesh:
וַיְהִ֛י בִּנְסֹ֥עַ הָאָרֹ֖ן וַיֹּ֣אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֑ה קוּמָ֣ה ׀ יְ–ה וְיָפֻ֙צוּ֙ אֹֽיְבֶ֔יךָ וְיָנֻ֥סוּ מְשַׂנְאֶ֖יךָ מִפָּנֶֽיךָ
This verse explicitly states that the enemies of the Jewish people must scatter and flee. The greatest desecration of God’s name happens when Jews are murdered. The Jewish people are a physical representation of God’s presence in this world.
And that means the greatest sanctification of God’s name is ensuring that our enemies are defeated—permanently—so that no Jew is ever slaughtered again. Today, that responsibility falls on the Jewish state of Israel and the Jewish people worldwide. We must support every effort necessary to scatter, crush and deter our modern Arab Muslim enemies from daring to harm a Jew ever again.
The Israeli People Understand Reality
This week, two polls were released in Israel, including one commissioned by Pulse of Israel and the Sovereignty Movement. They found that 80% of Israeli Jews support Trump’s plan to relocate our Gazan enemies. This isn’t just the right wing. This isn’t just religious. This includes religious and secular, right-wing, centrist, and even left-wing Israelis.
These Jewish leaders and organizations crying “immorality” over Trump’s relocation plan? They are more influenced by the values of Western society than by the eternal truth of the Torah.
We will win this war the way wars are supposed to be won. We will permanently deter our enemies so they never even think about attacking us again. And that begins with Trump’s relocation plan for the genocidal population of Gaza.
Because when Israel stands strong, when Jews defend themselves without apology, when we eliminate the threats against us—that is when God’s name is sanctified before the entire world.
May we merit to see this sanctification soon. Am Yisrael Chai!
