Moriah eighth graders were privileged to hear from Moriah parent Jason Gewirtz, in honor of Yom Yerushalayim. As author of the book “Israel’s Edge,” Gewirtz has unique knowledge of Talpiot, an extraordinary unit of the IDF which has its roots in Jerusalem. His presentation was fascinating and especially appropriate today.

Last week Moriah middle school wrapped up Color War 2020—virtual learning style! The teachers and rebbeim worked hard to create a special color war that the students won’t soon forget. School spirit was in full swing as the three grades went head-to-head-to-head in online competitions. The competitions included Chopped, Stomp, team banner and alma mater, and more. This year’s theme was Battle of the Grades. The teams were: sixth grade/blue team/Talmud Torah, seventh grade/yellow team/Kavod Hatorah and eighth grade/green team/Ahavat Torah. Congratulations to the Moriah class of 2020 on their color war win!
