“Mishenichnas Adar, marbin b’simcha—as the month of Adar enters, our joy increases,” as Purim is celebrated in this happy month. As this year is a leap year, there are two Adars, Adar aleph, and Adar bet. In honor of Rosh Chodesh Adar aleph, the children participated in a program designed to get them in the Adar mood. They first enjoyed a funny story read by Morah Divsha, entitled, “If I Ran the Circus,” by Dr. Seuss. Then, each child had fun designing a silly hat. The funny decorations brought smiles to the children’s faces. The children look forward to more Adar related activities as they count down the days until Purim.
