The Moriah kindergarten children are familiar with the concept of a matrix. They understand that it’s a grid with empty squares inside, which can be filled in according to attributes that run horizontally and vertically alongside the outside of the rows and columns. In honor of Chanukah, each child completed their own Chanukah-themed matrix. The attributes running vertically were Chanukah pictures, while horizontally, there were numbers. The squares were filled in accordingly and the children really enjoyed this math challenge.
