In conjunction with the Thanksgiving unit, learning about how the Native Americans and Pilgrims harvested root vegetables, the children of Moriah’s pre-k performed a play of the book “Eliezer v’HaGezer.” The story tells of Eliezer who finds an enormous carrot growing in his garden and needs the help of his family, the dog, the cat and even a mouse to pull it out. Each child, dressed in costume and donned with face paint, was excited to play a different role and perform the story for an audience—their friends in the other classes!
