RYNJ candles shone brightly this Chanukah as each preschool class put on a play. The children were full of smiles as they sang with gusto and excitement. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles marveled at the children’s confidence which truly came through. One grandparent remarked that the children “had poise and grace and self-assurance.”
There was a festive spirit in the air as dreidel cut-outs decked the hallways and the smell of sufganiot, which the teachers treated the children with after their performances, wafted from the classrooms. Morot were beaming as the yiladim, who were excited and lively, belted out their songs and enjoyed. A good time was had by all.
One aunt was heard blessing her niece who was dressed as a candle in the play. “What a beautiful candle. May you always shine brightly.”
