On Yom Ha’Atzmaut, Israel Independence Day, the Shefa School came together to celebrate the day with an opening ceremony, followed by activities at Riverside Park. The students celebrated with arts and crafts, spirit competitions, and the annual Maccabiah Games, which included a variety of sports like basketball, kickball, soccer and more! As part of the Maccabiah, the Shefa School middle school students also held a fundraiser to raise money for Save a Child’s Heart, an Israeli organization that brings children in need from around the world for life-saving heart surgeries in Israel. This service is one of the many ways the Shefa School is bringing their love and support to Israel in Maccabiah.
