As part of a unit about mitzvot and chesed, Shefa’s first and second graders organized a sock drive through the organization Knock Knock Give a Sock. This organization donates socks to people experiencing homelessness in New York City. The students collected new men’s socks and will be donating them to a shelter near The Shefa School. The classes were incredibly excited to have this drive and involve the entire Shefa community in it.
