The Sunflower class has been reading the wonderful book “The Mitten.” The children decorated a mitten just like in the story and sewed the two sides together using white yarn and a plastic needle. Then they made each animal from the book to put inside the mitten, based on pictures of the real animals. This literacy activity really brought the book to life.
