My name is Matisyahu Erickson and in school I always get in trouble with my teachers. Everyone always gets excited when I cause trouble. They even call me Marvelous Matisyahu, but my parents said if I keep getting in trouble we won’t go on vacation to Florida. What should I do?

Dear Marvelous Matisyahu,
Do you find movies interesting? I think you do. Do you like plays? l believe so. Do you like to get zeros on your tests? l don’t think so. Do you like getting in big trouble? l think not. The kids at your school probably feel the same way. Your schoolmates like a show, but they don’t want to get in trouble. You should try to improve your grades, be more respectful to your teachers, and maybe even apologize to your teachers for being disrespectful. (If you were, that is.) If a child asks, “Hey Matistayhu, you’re not as funny as you used to be.” You say, “Read Shayna B.’s article.” Just joking! You say, “I’m staying out of trouble for now!” And you can end with a laugh. If that doesn’t work, Florida’s not too perfect anyway!
