Dr. Rosen’s latest article on ways to improve one’s sleep habits was extremely insightful (“The Habits That Harm Your Sleep,” July 6, 2023). Like many things in medicine, believing you can get better is half the battle. And Dr. Rosen’s reassurance that it is OK to not be perfect with our health habits is a message that resonates across all disciplines of our lives. As for his open ended question on Shabbat naps — the parents of young children among us will always take a few hours of precious sleep when they are available.
