The new Teaneck Orthodox Retiree’s Association (TORA) will hold its inaugural event, “A Hike to the Tourne,” on Monday, July 10. The Tourne is a beautiful mountain ridge in northwest New Jersey about 45 minutes from Teaneck with great views of New York City and its skyline. The hike is about 1 1/2 hours up to a mountain top, but it is easy and gradual. They will then eat lunch together. No hiking experience or hiking shoes are required; sneakers are fine. Those wishing to extend the walk can access other trails.
They will organize groups for the drive up there. Meet in front of Bnai Yeshurun at 9:00 a.m., bring your own lunch, water and a hat, and join us for a very enjoyable walk and pleasant company.
