Rabbi Yisroel Rosenblum talked about how the Torah looks and that the parchment is made out of kosher animal skin. When we read from the Torah we need to use the Yad so it won’t get dirty. The children touched the animal skin, parchment and the letters of the Torah. The children then had an opportunity to write their names in Hebrew using the same ink and feathers they use to write a real Torah.
