In order to share the simcha of our Bar Mitzvahs with less fortunate children, we are raising money to help support Bet Elazraki Children’s Home. Bet Elazraki is a home for Jewish children located in Netanya, Israel, and is a special place that provides a warm and loving environment for children five through 18, whose parents are unable to care for them.
On Friday, November 27 the RYNJ seventh graders were invited to a 5-on-5 flag football tournament. The Rubenstein and Tarzik families rented out the brand new turf located in Votee Park. The boys had a blast playing flag football, hanging out with friends and showing off their moves after a touchdown. The winning team featured: MVP Tani Engel (QB), Dovi Schwartz (O-Line), Daniel Gopin, Meir Sytner and Donny Recht as wide receivers.
Some of the players were asked. “What was your favorite part of the event?”
Tani Engel – Drinking a refreshing Gatorade after a hard fought championship game.
Pacey Jacoby – Playing with my team and friends trying to make a championship run.
Yosef Fleischman – Dancing in the end zone after getting a touchdown.
Yehuda Hochbaum – Boogying in the end zone.
Tzvi Motechin – Playing football while doing a mitzvah.
Shai F – Playing in the organized football tournament.
Dani P..- Letting the ball fly to my teammates.
Our families are going to Israel this summer and all the money raised will go to Bet Elazraki. Future sport events are being planned to continue raising money for Bet Elazraki.
