The Touro College Graduate School of Technology (GST) sponsored a one-day Mo­bile App Design Institute that offered partic­ipants an overview of the app-development process. Andrew Deck, a professor of web and multimedia design, worked with the par­ticipants to help them conceptualize poten­tial mobile apps before providing them with step-by-step instructions to produce their own prototypes. Each year GST hosts sever­al other workshops for the general public, in­cluding a bi-annual gaming institute to help teachers develop desktop, mobile, and online games to be incorporated into their curricu­lums.
