The United Nations is asking Holocaust survivors to help them commemorate the 10th anniversary of the United Nations Holocaust Outreach Program on January 27th, 2015, International Holocaust Remembrance Day, by submitting photographs of themselves, along with statements encouraging Holocaust education and commemoration.
The UN is encouraging and inviting survivors to send in photographs of themselves along with an inspirational message about what they feel is important to pass on to future generations.
Since its establishment, the UN Holocaust Outreach Program has developed an international network of groups that are promoting Holocaust education through innovative online educational products, youth outreach, DVDs, seminars and training programs, a film series, book signings, a permanent exhibit at United Nations headquarters in New York, and the annual worldwide observance of the International Day of Commemoration in memory of the victims of the Holocaust.
