On Sunday, November 11, 1:00-3:00 p.m., at Congregation Israel, Springfield, Jewish Family Service of Central NJ (JFSCNJ), a non-sectarian health and social service agency, will be hosting “A Celebration of Holocaust Survivors of Union County —Showcasing Their Resilience, Their Talent and Their Lives.” Congregation Israel is located at 339 Mountain Avenue in Springfield.
The program will showcase the talents, works and lives of the Holocaust Survivors of Union County, New Jersey. Examples can include paintings, books, a talent or a favorite recipe. There will be musical entertainment by the group Symphonia’s T-Klez.
The event is supported by a grant from the JFNA Center for Advancing Holocaust Survivor Care and The Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest Holocaust Survivor Fund, the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and the Wilf Family Foundation. The program is open to the entire community at no charge. Light kosher refreshments will be served.
