Adult/Senior Dept Tickets on Sale for Plays
The YM-YWHA of Union County is pleased to announce that ticket sales have begun for two upcoming plays. “The Honeymooners” will be at the Papermill Playhouse on Thursday, Oct. 26. It is a 1:30 matinee. With orchestra seats and transportation, the cost is $90. There are discounts for Y members and for not using the transportation to and from the Y. “The Bands Visit,” at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on Broadway, will be on Wednesday, May 30, at 2 p.m. With a coach bus and orchestra seats, ticket cost is $135 per person. The Women’s Balcony Comes to the Y on October 16
The fall program for “Dinner & Movie” will be held on Monday evening, Oct. 16, at 6:30, showing the feature presentation “The Women’s Balcony.” The award-winning 2016 film has received a 95 percent rating. Shown at several Jewish film festivals, it is no longer running in theaters so please take advantage of this opportunity. The evening will begin with a delicious kosher Italian buffet dinner. Senior Fall Luncheon Features Francine & Joel of “The Rat Pack” on October 18
The YM-YWHA of Union County will have the Harvest Moon Fall Luncheon on Wednesday, October 18. Francine & Joel will produce a fabulous performance that will bring you back into the 1940s and 50s. It begins at 11:30 a.m. The couple has played concert venues all over the world and has entertained five presidents; they play piano and guitar, sing and write songs. A delicious lunch will accompany the show. The fee is only $8 ($5 for Y members). To reserve, please call 908-289-8112.
AARP Safe-Driving Class
The fall course will be given by a professional instructor at the Y on Thursday, Oct. 26, at 9:30 a.m. The six-hour course will cost $15 and participants can use the class to reduce car insurance payments and/or points. You can register by calling 908-289-8112.
