Join the YM-YWHA of Union County as it celebrates “50 Years on Green Lane.” A special slate of events will be offered in September to kick off the excitement, beginning on Sunday, September 18, with an Open House from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.
During the Open House, Dr. Gil Kahn will offer a lecture at 1 p.m., entitled,“Is the Jewish Vote Important in the Presidential Election?” Also, Sara Morgan, the new youth supervisor, will introduce herself to the community children through a “Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae” program. Ruth Wasser, early childhood director, will be on hand to give tours of the Center, and Larry Markowitz and Fern Perez will highlight the pool, gym and fitness center. Jackie Baranoff, membership & marketing director, will be handing out special 50th anniversary “coupons” and Sandy Harris, senior adult coordinator, will showcase the many events tailored for adults age 55 & over. All of the Sunday events are free and open to the community.

Thursday, September 15, 10 a.m.–1 p.m. will be flu shots and “Health Day”
Wednesday, September 21, will be a “Welcome Back” senior lunch, complete with entertainment entitled, “Jewish Broadway.” A full-course meal is included. Cost is $8 ($5 Y members).
Sunday, September 25, 2–5 p.m. will be an infant/child CPR class.
