United Hatzalah Raising Funds in Memory of Bruce Weinrib

(Courtesy of United Hatzalah) Bruce Weinrib epitomized the biblical axiom of “your ways are ways of pleasantness.” In addition to being a role model of devotion to family, loyalty to friends and selflessness for his community, he very much supported the idea of saving lives. After he passed, he was sorely missed, especially by his family, and forever treasured by the thousands of people whom he impacted through his wise counsel, humorous spirit and generosity.

In an effort to continue Bruce’s generosity and love for the state of Israel, his friends have embarked on a campaign that will help memorialize Bruce as well as save lives in the Jewish homeland. Bruce himself was committed to spending as much time as possible with his family in Israel, and it is for that reason that his friends have chosen the path of raising funds for a life-saving ambucycle for United Hatzalah, so that Bruce’s memory may live on and continue to help others. By raising money for a United Hatzalah ambucycle, with its role in saving diverse members of Israeli society, the family believes that this “will be an enduring tribute to the memory of a great man.”

In order to facilitate this fundraising drive, a special event will be held at the home of Rochelle and Phil Goldschmiedt, 686 Downing Street, Teaneck, at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday night, December 1. President and Founder of United Hatzalah Eli Beer will be present at the event and was very supportive of the initiative. “Perhaps the best way to memorialize someone is by making sure that their memory is never forgotten. By donating an ambucycle in memory of a beloved family member such as Bruce, not only does his memory live on in the minds of those who knew and loved him, but every person who is helped by the lifesaving vehicle and its rider will also now become a part of Bruce’s legacy. That is a tremendous gift which continues to give exponentially for generations to come.”
