Valley Chabad Teens Join CTeen Summer Trip Out West

(Courtesy of Valley Chabad) Five teens from Valley Chabad Teen Leadership Initiative’s CTeen chapter participated in the CTeen Xtreme Summer program. The CTeen adventure is composed of high school teens from the Chabad-run CTeen network from throughout the country.

The travel camp trail set out in Denver, Colorado, and trekked out west, exploring the breathtaking sights throughout the states of Utah, Nevada, Arizona, and California. The thrilling itinerary boasted horseback riding, white water rafting, zip lining, rappelling and mountain biking. The teens visited the wondrous Arches, Canyonlands and Bryce Canyon National Parks. Lodging took place at different hotels and campsites along the way, and the teens also visited Chabad Centers to experience Judaism in the welcoming and lively spirit of Chabad. There were parallel trips for both boys and girls. The program is open to all Jewish teens regardless of affiliation or background.

“It was a great experience and I’m lucky I had the opportunity to join,” said Jake Feder, rising junior of Pascack Hills High School. “Being able to connect with Jewish teens from around the country was a real highlight for me.”

CTeen is a community service and social teen groups for Jewish teens, with over 500 locations worldwide. As the fastest growing Jewish teen group, CTeen breaks barriers to make sure all are included and welcome. Valley Chabad’s CTeen has been active and growing for over a dozen years with hundreds of participants and alumni other the years.

CTeen will ramp up in full gear for the year and is open to all Jewish teens. To learn more or to register your teen, please visit valleychabadteens.com or or email Rabbi Yosef Orenstein at [email protected].
