Vantage Buys Car Leases, Donates to Hatzalah

Vantage Auto Wholesale and Collection wants your leased car and will pay you generously for it.

Pay attention if you have a car that never leaves your driveway, with months left to go on a lease. Perhaps it’s not being used since your kid went off to college. Vantage can also get you a better deal if you want to lease or buy a different car. If you have up to a year left on your lease, they’ll pick up the car from your home and pay you “above and beyond” the lease buyout with a check at time of pickup. Or you can apply this money towards the down payment on another vehicle, bringing your new monthly payment down significantly.

There’s another advantage to selling your lease to Vantage: For each car lease Vantage buys, they are donating $250 to Hatzalah in Israel.

“What’s the catch? There is none,” said Andrew Glaser, CEO and founder of the new Vantage Auto Wholesale and Collection. “We’re a breath of fresh air.” You may know that there’s a shortage of cars right now. Usually, leased cars are turned back to dealers to resell, or they are purchased after the leasing period. But today, there are very few new cars or trade-ins.

Vantage is a new division of Gary Motors, a well-known family run business in New Jersey. Glaser, who works with his dad and brother-in-law at the company, started Vantage to buy out leases and build up their inventory of cars to resell. Gary Motors does a large volume of sales with all auto manufacturers, which gives them access to cars for lease at better prices than you’ll find elsewhere.

Glaser said he developed his innovative new approach from growing up loving cars and working in marketing after college, before joining the family business. Now he’s using all those skills to shake up the way cars are leased, bought and sold. “I’ve brought a new spin to an archaic business,” he said. “I wanted to do something good for everyone. We found a way in this economic climate to help people and help ourselves.”

Donating to Hatzalah is a family tradition. Glaser’s family has been donating money to Hatzalah for years to buy Ambucycles: scooter type vehicles outfitted with lifesaving equipment that fits through narrow urban Israeli streets. “As a father, I can’t imagine my child choking, calling 911 and waiting 15 minutes for something to happen,” said Glaser. “In Israel, someone from Hatzalah is there in 90 seconds.

“The organization is very pure—every dollar you donate saves somebody’s life. I’m glad we are able to do something and give back in that way. Now with Vantage leasing paying out hundreds of thousands of dollars, we’re having an impact.”
