On Wednesday November 11, the MTA Lions traveled to the East Side of Manhattan to play against the Ramaz Rams. As the game started, it did not take long to realize that MTA was hungry and ready to win. MTA, taking advantage of their size, fed the ball to center Yehuda Colton in the post resulting in two of 10 points in the first quarter. By the end of the first half MTA had a large lead and was happy with how they were playing.
The lead was maintained throughout the third quarter but was cut down to 6 early in the 4th. MTA went on to play lock-down defense and flawless offense, and toppled Ramaz with a 54-39 victory.
The Lions were led by coaches Shlomo Weissberg and Mark Weisel, as well as leading scorers Yehuda Colton with 25 points and Binyamin Buchbinder with 10. MTA is poised and ready to continue their winning streak in the Emunah Rubenstein Varsity Tournament.
