Ben Franklin, Helen Keller and Harry Houdini are just some of the exciting people who visited Rabbi Pesach Raymon Yeshiva for the third grade “wax museum” project! Students chose a historical person, researched them and dressed up as them in costume, creating a “museum” that was visited by students and parents. Each student had a booth containing information about his or her figure, and when visitors performed a specific task explained in the booth, the student “came alive” in character to describe the life and accomplishments of that individual.
This project is a great way for the third graders to build their public speaking skills in a fun and creative way. The students and visitors alike learned from this engaging, interactive project!
