Westchester Day School celebrated many milestones and moving up ceremonies over the last week of school. Beginning with its youngest graduates, WDS was proud to host a celebration for ganon 4s as they completed their time in the early childhood program. Parents, grandparents and friends joined together as students performed songs from tefillah and enjoyed a performance by favorite Bobby Doowah. A few days later fifth graders celebrated their elementary school siyum. They performed a skit highlighting memories they had from their early years at WDS. The event culminated with the students receiving their completion certificates. Next stop … middle school!
Finally, eighth graders celebrated their last day of school with a school-wide parade where their fellow students and faculty from ganon through middle school joined together to cheer them on as they marched through the campus one final time. The graduation ceremony took place on the beautiful campus overlooking the Long Island Sound on a clear and sunny day. The program was filled with emotion, pride and excitement as everyone wished the graduates well on this next exciting chapter of their educational journey. WDS will always be a second home for them.
