On Monday May 6, Westchester Day School commemorated Yom HaShoah by honoring the memory of those who perished during the Holocaust. Students in grades five through eight gathered for a special candle-lighting tekes after morning prayers. To recall the 1.5 million beautiful Jewish children who lost their lives, each student wore a nametag bearing the name of one of these children throughout the day. They pledged to ensure their memory lives on through their discussions and reflections on this day and everyday. Never Again Is Now!
