Over the course of the year, the fifth grade at WDS interviewed family members to learn more about their family heritage. Students took this information and wrote a narrative piece about his/her family story. Each student brought in an artifact and shared how it relates to his/her family. Additionally, during art with Ms. Goldstein, the students created family trees that were on display along with the artifact. Thanks to the photographer, Mr. Turek, students took home a booklet with each narrative and a beautiful picture of the artifact.
