The WDS PTA came together over the weekend to raise funds for Israel by hosting a Casino Night. All of the raised proceeds will go to Kibbutz Alumim in the south of Israel in order to support the displaced families of the kibbutz. Kibbutz Alumim is in the Gaza envelope and thanks to the life saving work of the emergency squad and what the residents describe as a series of miracles, the kibbutz was safe and not a single member of the emergency squad lost their life on October 7. Through the funds raised, WDS parents can help the kibbutz rebuild and purchase state-of-the-art weapons for self-defense so they can bring the families back home, now! Kol hakavod to all those involved—it was a fun night had by all.
