Ever wondered if you could be religious and play professional sports?
Students in grades two-four had the opportunity to meet Elie Kligman, an Orthodox MLB prospect from Nevada, on Zoom. Kligman spoke of his love of baseball, his experience, his Jewish traditions and how they impact his ability to play ball. His role model is his father, who has inspired and supported him in all these areas. Kligman has never played on Shabbat and davens three times a day. His favorite part of Shabbat is spending time with his family without electronics, something we can all relate to especially with life being on Zoom.
