At Westchester Day School, we believe in fostering strong connections with our local community—and a visit earlier this week from the Mamaroneck Police Department was a perfect example! First grade students had the exciting opportunity to meet local police officers and learn firsthand about the important role they play in keeping our community safe.
During the visit, officers introduced students to some of the tools and vehicles they use every day and even shared how police dogs assist in their work. The interactive experience left students both informed and inspired, with many eager to share what they learned.
WDS is grateful to the Mamaroneck Police Department for taking the time to visit and teach the students about safety, responsibility and community service.
