Wedding Hair Is in the Air

Planning a wedding soon? Mazal tov! One of the most exciting aspects of planning a wedding for the bride and her bridal party is of course the dresses! When shopping for a dress you need to factor in the overall look you want to achieve. The hairstyle and makeup you choose need to compliment the dress, of course!

Wedding hair trends for 2018 are all about the natural, laid-back, no-fuss look. Formal updos and hairstyles that are sprayed stiff are being replaced by soft curls and romantic braids. The messy tousled updos with flower ornaments create a romantic, tender look that will be popular at weddings this season. Low unperfect buns, half-up dos, natural-looking textures, low ponytails, high ponytails and side braids are all great options. Choose a style that you feel comfortable with, while showing off your best features and natural beauty.

2018 is the year of romantic, effortless hair, with a touch of elegance and sophistication. All types of braids and twists are being styled in many new unique, natural-looking ways. For those who have dimensional color in their hair, tousled, textured and perfectly imperfect hair is the perfect way to enhance the look of balayage and ombre coloring techniques. Below are some trend-setting hairstyles for wedding inspiration. For an even more glamorous look, pair these styles with a backward-facing comb or another accessory.

The relaxed wedding bun is the chignon for 2018. Its gathered softly and set in a very relaxed way. Its best when done in a low-set profile with wispy tendrils softening the face. Whether you have long or short hair, there is a wedding wedding bun that will work for you. You can always add extensions to your hair if you’d prefer a fuller look. This look works great with most types of sheitals and falls.

You will see many bridesmaids wearing chic ponytails, from glamorous high-set, wavy ones positioned at the crown to low-set ponies tied at the nape of the neck. To polish off the look, the pony should be plumped up, and wrapped with a strand of hair or velvet ribbon to cover the elastic. Wig wearers will need the new pony updo wig for the higher-up ponies.

Part half updo, part side-swept, the new half updo compliments almost any face shape and dress! The braids and twists add a detailed elegance. The asymmetrical and loosely done look adds a softness to the glamour. Also a great option for most sheitals and falls.

The half updo knot is a new modern yet chic look. It can be worn as a loose, soft, romantic look, or glammed up when pulled tighter with a smooth finish. This look works well with both straight and wavy hair.
