Alana Blumenthal, daughter of Annie and David Blumenthal of Teaneck, and Asher Becker, son of Rifky and Ari Becker of Elizabeth, were married on April 25, 2017 at Congregation Keter Torah in Teaneck. Rabbi Zvi Sobolofsky was the Mesader Kiddushin.

Alana attended the Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey and Bruriah High School. After studying for one and a half years at Tiferet in Israel, she earned a Bachelor’s Degree from Stern College and a Master’s Degree in Literacy Education from Hunter College. She is a teacher at Manhattan Day School.

Asher attended the Jewish Educational Center in Elizabeth and Rav Teitz Mesivta Academy. After learning at Yeshivat Sha’alvim in Israel, he graduated from Yeshiva University and is now completing the Semicha program at Yeshivat Rabbeinu Yitzchak Elchanan (RIETS). Additionally, Asher devotes many hours teaching teenagers Torah and guiding them on how to enhance their Jewish lives.

The celebration included meals provided by Five Star Caterers. Flower arrangements were by Main Street Florist in Monsey, New York. The Neshama Orchestra, led by Dov Katz with singer Johnny Shlagbaum, kept the guests dancing. The kallah’s gown was from Bijou Bridal in Paramus and will be donated to Yad Eliezer’s Kallah Fund.

The newly married Beckers are living in Teaneck.
