The West Orange Warriors came away with a decisive victory after a tough series against Ivy Hill. With the Warriors winning the first game of the three game series by a small margin, but losing the second, the trophy was up for grabs. After much hard work and great sportsmanship on both sides, the West Orange Warriors emerged victorious in the summer Ivy Hill Championship game. Nick Zidziunis pitched a strong game, leading to the team’s 19-4 rout of Ivy Hill last week.
The team came a long way from their first game of the summer season. Put together at the last minute, without practice time, they struggled in their early games. However, they persevered, and with coaches Rhett and James providing practice time, strong coaching and motivation, they turned their season around and ended on a high note that none of the players will soon forget.
