This Thanksgiving, children at Westchester Day School embraced the holiday’s themes of gratitude and pride with a hands-on art project destined to be the centerpiece of their family celebrations.

Using the fascinating medium of paper mache the children combined water, flour, and glue to create sturdy, balloon-based structures. They delighted in the tactile experience of dipping their hands into the paste, layering strips of paper, and watching their creations come to life. Once hardened, the young artists decorated their masterpieces with vibrant fingerpaint.

The result? Thanksgiving centerpieces as unique and joyful as the children who made them!
