Linking Northern and Central NJ, Bronx, Manhattan, Westchester and CT

Purim spirit filled the halls of Westchester Day School as students enjoyed a festive week of celebrations leading up to the chag. The excitement kicked off with Crazy Hat Day, where creativity was on full display with colorful, wacky and oversized headwear. Laughter continued as students showed off their wildest sock combinations, and second through fourth graders had fun dressing up as their beloved morot and morim.

Cozy Pajama Day brought a sense of comfort and community, as students and teachers alike embraced the relaxed atmosphere while continuing their learning. Throughout the week, students also participated in engaging activities with the shlichot, deepening their understanding of Purim through interactive games, songs and meaningful discussions.

The highlight of the week, of course, was Purim itself, with students arriving in their vibrant and imaginative costumes, filling the school with so much ruach and joy. From silly outfits to heartfelt traditions, it was a week of fun, connection and celebration—one that truly captured the essence of Purim at WDS!
