It takes a village to raise a child. As Teacher Appreciation Week unfolded at Westchester Day School, the school community came together to express הכרת הטוב for our dedicated WDS village of educators. Our teachers understand the importance of empowering our students to develop a strong sense of self. Beyond academic achievements, and with the guidance of the Torah and Jewish learning, WDS educators focus on character development and personal growth. The balance of Judaic learning and General Studies ensures that our students leave WDS not only academically prepared but also with a deep understanding of their own Jewish values and beliefs. From Monday’s observance of Yom Hashoah, with donations collected and made in teachers’ names to Thursday’s special faculty lunch, each day of this special week was marked by gestures of appreciation. The PTA provided treats and even a Coffee Cart to kick-start teachers’ days! To end the week and move into Shabbat on a high, our Ganon through 8th grade students delivered personalized letters of gratitude to our teachers. We appreciate the unwavering commitment of our WDS educators who provide the light in all that we do. Kol Hakavod to all those involved!
