Westchester Day School is excited to be an active participant in Torah Bowl. This program provides an avenue for students to learn and display their knowledge in Torah and yediot klaliyot, general Judaic knowledge, in a fun and engaging way. WDS is grateful to its colleague, teacher and friend, Rabbi Evan Hoffman of Congregation Anshe Sholom in New Rochelle, for leading the team with such skill and passion.
This year, the WDS team welcomed a number of newcomers. Sixth and seventh grade students currently meet twice a week during lunch to learn Chumash and Rashi as a group, in addition to independent parsha review. Westchester Day School was honored to host the first Torah Bowl meet of the season, welcoming ASHAR, Moriah and RYNJ to its campus to share in some friendly Torah competition. The team looks forward to participating with distinction in the years to come!
