WTA eighth graders are piloting the program Better Together after receiving a grant from a well-known, anonymous foundation. Better Together is an initiative that pairs senior citizens with students to cultivate meaningful relationships during COVID via phone calls, Zoom events and virtual programming. The students will be participating in this dynamic project and will use all of their creativity, passion and communication skills to bring joy to the larger community. As part of the program, the school has added an educational component in the classroom and students will be completing reflective assignments to further appreciate their own growth throughout the semester.
