An Israeli Jew visiting from Israel for a family simcha is gunned down in Baltimore and murdered just for being a Jew. Where is the outrage?
Four shuls in Riverdale were vandalized with antisemitic graffiti causing tens of thousands of dollars in damage. Where is the outrage?
A young Jewish couple strolling in Manhattan with their young child in a stroller attacked on Chol Hamoed Pesach for being Jews identified by their religious attire. Where is the outrage?
These are many similar incidents that we don’t hear about, that are occurring with almost daily frequency in Orthodox Jewish neighborhoods. Many other similar antisemitic incidents are happening across the U.S., as well as in many other countries. History has shown us that antisemitism will never be wiped out; however, at the same time Jews are not standing up for themselves, and are displaying the same obsequious mentality reminiscent of 1930s Germany.
Why are we not standing up for ourselves and demanding justice for these and so many other heinous crimes? Where are our leaders and rabbis? What happened to “Never Again”?
