Why Yitz Stern and Rosemary Hernandez Carroll Earned Our Support

As treasurer of Teach NJ PAC, I’m proud to share why our organization has endorsed Yitz Stern and Rosemary Hernandez Carroll in this important election. Teach NJ PAC is a single-issue, nonpartisan group that supports candidates who will be strong, effective advocates for increased funding for nonpublic schools. Our decisions are not based on background or political affiliation. We support candidates — of all backgrounds and from both sides of the aisle — who demonstrate a commitment to delivering for our community.

Yitz and Rosemary stand out in this race. They’ve been clear and courageous in their support for educational fairness. They understand the needs of families in our community and are ready to lead. They are independent voices and they’ve shown they can be effective partners in achieving real progress.

Having worked closely on these issues, I’ve seen firsthand how hard it can be to pass legislation and secure increased funding for our schools. It takes more than good intentions — it takes people who will stand strong, speak up, and stay committed when the pressure is on. Yitz and Rosemary have proven they’re ready to do just that.

Other slates in this race have taken different approaches. Dan Park has said “not one penny” should go to nonpublic schools. Incumbents Shama Haider and Ellen Park have been unresponsive to the requests of thousands of constituents asking for their support of the Student Support Act, a bill to create a tax credit scholarship program in New Jersey.

While we respect everyone’s public service and commitment, our endorsement is based on who is most aligned with our mission — and who has shown the willingness and ability to act. When it comes to our core issue, Yitz Stern and Rosemary Hernandez Carroll have shown that they are aligned, accessible and ready to deliver.
