Fans of Mimi Kiss and her wig and hair stylings no longer need to schlep to Monsey for her expert hair care. Kiss was based in Monsey for the past four years, and eventually realized that her Teaneck clients wanted easier access to her services. The cosmetology school graduate answered their call.

Those already familiar with Kiss know her relaxed and caring demeanor, and also the overall chill environment she provides while helping her clients look great and feel confident. She provides a full range of both hair and wig services. She does coloring, cuts and keratin treatments as well as the whole range of wig and cap repairs.

“We do everything, whatever anyone wants done with their hair or sheitel,” said Kiss. “We don’t like to put any pressure on our customers. It’s whatever works for you.”

Sheitel drop-offs are very flexible, and someone is always available to take the wig and instructions. “It’s whatever time works for you,” said Kiss, emphasizing her focus on customer service.

Kiss is happy to accommodate clients beyond her immediate areas of Monsey and Teaneck. She started doing what she calls a “traveling wash and set,” and they were always enthusiastically received. If someone gets together a group of 10 or more wigs, Kiss will come to one house, take all the sheitels, and bring them back to the house where she will touch up the wigs on the spot.

“This has been incredibly popular in areas like Fair Lawn and Manhattan,” she said. “They love the convenience it provides and I love meeting up with everyone.”

For customers local to Monsey and Teaneck, Kiss will also pick up and deliver for an extra fee. Wash and sets start at $40, coloring starts at $100.
